Sonia Rykiel, Vintage 90s Unique Half Rim Semi Rimless Cat 。Up for sale is a pair of vintage 1980s Sover sunglasses, made in Italy. These bold retro frames feature a black acetate front with striking purple accents and a small metal emblem on the temple — a signature detail on Sover\'s designer models from the era. The 1980s oversized silhouette, black-and-purple colorway, and Italian craftsmanship capture the decade\'s maximalist eyewear aesthetic perfectly. Whether you\'re building a vintage collection, styling an 80s-inspired look, or just want a pair of sunglasses with genuine character, these deliver authentic retro cool that modern frames can\'t replicate. Sover was an Italian eyewear brand that produced high-quality acetate frames throughout the 1980s, distributed through independent opticians and optical displays. Their designs ranged from classic to experimental, often featuring bold color combinations, layered acetate patterns, and distinctive temple detailing. Made-in-Italy acetate construction gives these frames a weight and finish that budget modern sunglasses can\'t match. Sover has developed a niche following among vintage eyewear collectors who appreciate the brand\'s unique 80s Italian design language.
