Vintage Hat Deerskin Trading Post Fedora Brown Olive Suede 。What a beautiful fedora from the fabulous 40s\'! The top of the hat is furry, and the underside is flat felt. The crown is indented in an innovative form creating a crease at the top. It is surrounded by a brown grosgrain band that is tied together by a yellow \"buckle\" plus a beautiful yellow curly ostrich feather. The brim is short and upturned at one side, and down at the front and opposite side. The wartime 40’s saw a huge variety of hats that were suitable for any face shape, hairstyle or personal preference. Throughout the war & on both sides of the Atlantic, elaborate creations brightened dreary utility fashions, brought about by rationing. The only items not rationed were hat materials. Explosions of feathers, veiling & artificial flowers were popular. There is no designer label, but there is an imprint inside the hat: SOLEIL SOIE Blend-Felt & HENRY POLLAK INC.
